Cute.

I wasn't really enjoying it at first - mainly because I'm not much of a SOAD fan anymore. However, I suddenly decided to give it a big "5" as soon as he starting beating the guy with the pogo stick. It's not that I like nothing but random violence, but somehow I really enjoyed the random violence. Probably due to the involvement of a pogo stick. Decent art, catchy song, brutal animation. 5!

AcidX responds:

Thanks for the good vote ^_^
The violence was just a quick funny... So random and pointless... Just the idea of it makes you laugh XD

Thanks for the review =)

I hope you're not in highschool...

School project, eh? Well, last time I checked, an assignment for school had to have some kind of theme or meaning. All this tells me is that you consider the nazi conversion of recruits to be machine-like. If you wanted it to represent an "all powerful nazi creating machine", I suggest you have more than one single man going through the system. You said nothing about the Jews or the holocaust, which made your very approximate statistic at the end quite irrelevant and unlinked to the cartoon. If your class was grading you on flash skills, I wouldn't be so tough on you, but by your description you don't really seem to be saying much about nazis, the holocaust or WWII.

PS- TO vs. TOO vs. TWO
(Learn the difference; you're showing this to teachers for god's sake)

SurvivalisFutile responds:

lol, point dully noted... i think someone else reviewed earlier or later on here about teachers going nuts if you do anything with computers... that was the general idea... theres still gonna be an oral presentation along with this... other wise it would have been too boring to submit too newgrounds... all those facts... so i chopped off the meat and made it into a nazi-techno music video of one of hitlers speeches on stalingrad... subtitles too come... thanks for the review... critques however annoying to the critqued are helpful in the end anyways...

Lacking in areas

I think you make quite a good director, but you could really do with someone doing the art for you. Your drawing/animation style would have impressed the flash-going audience maybe 3 years ago, but it seems very simple and unsophisticated today. I know the movie wasn't about the visual aspect alone, but the only reason I mention it is because that is all I could find wrong with the flash as a whole. The music helped the movie a great deal and the plot was interesting - just work on your drawing skills and your next submission will be beautiful.

Flyborg responds:

Yeah I know about the drawing part - I thought I was good enough at it because I could do better than others learning flash, but now I'm not learning basics anymore and I'm actually making stuff - so I'll work on that I guess. :)

Very cute, very funny

That was a pretty sweet holiday cartoon. It kept up a good pace (never boring) and the animation was very good looking. The music and voices rocked, too. I've been doing flash for a while and trust me when I tell you that this is a very good movie!

TmsT responds:

The bit where Rudolf is hiding from Frosty (the tank) in the trees has some background music that's based on "The Little Drummer Boy". Just thought you might be interested...

definition of pointless

When I say that this was pointless, I don't mean it as a random, generic insult that you see everywhere. I'm seriously trying to stress the fact that this movie had NO point/plot/idea etc. All you had were a few still pictures moving around to a song that had nothing to do with this movie. You even ripped Trogdor off! Read the built-in lessons that come with flash to learn how to actually animate instead of relying on tweening imported images...

UrLord responds:

Yes, well, I didn't draw the characters. If I DID then they would be animated. I know very well how to animate, if you notice some of the subtle special effects I sprinkled throughout. The point is the comic, hence the images FROM the comic. Also, notice that your summary of what it was "a few still pictures moving around to a song that had nothing to do with this movie" is exactly what I said in the Author Comments. So congratulations at discovering the obvious!

ok, I'd hate to admit this, but it bit

that was WAAAY too long. it didn't take long to laod or anything, I have a fast connection, but it was so SLOW. I mean, the guys take like 5 minutes just to move across the screen, and the part where mario shoots all the fire balls. I couldn't wait for it to END. he just kept SHOOTING and SHOOTING. God, I almost shot myself. other than that, not bad, lol. Ok graphics, not the best though.

arrogancy responds:

I think your computer is just slow, as I timed scenes so that they wouldn't be extended. You should try running my movies in med. quality as they are graphics intensive.

Hey, folks. Nothing much to see here.
